To and for those who struggle daily with the devastating agony of vile oppression, reprehensible discrimination, pernicious racism, relentless bullying and condemnible humiliation.

Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915), a classmate of Sergei Rachmaninov at the Moscow Conservatory, is one of the most unconventional 20th century Russian composers.
Most of Scriabin’s compositions—67 of 74 published works—are for solo piano. His etudes from 1905 forward are revolutionary, especially compared with his earlier Chopinesque style.
The Etude Op.2 No.1, written in 1894 as a counterpoint final examination, is amongst his most famous masterpieces. Adding to its allure are hints of jazz.
