CHOPIN Etude op 10 no 1 by concert pianist Stephanie ELBAZ
This Frédéric Chopin etude op 10 n 1 in C major is a study for solo piano, which is also known as “waterfall” and was first published in 1833. This study is often ranked in the top 3 of the most difficult Chopin’s études. With regard to this first piece, the main technical difficulty lies in playing the right hand arpeggios in an uninterrupted, flowing, legato but powerful, and accurate way, without straining the hand.
