I found an article that talks about “Bach Inventions and Counterpoint in Jazz”
„That’s an essential insight for jazz pianists for whom the goal at first can seem to be “play lines in the right hand and chords in the left.” Of course most jazz pianists quickly move past that initial goal. But the important point is Bach’s Inventions and Sinfonias demonstrate equality between the hands–how to do it and how to acquire it. It’s one of the studies that helps move everyone past the idea that the left hand exists to accompany the right hand. Which is why they’re wonderful pieces for pianists.”

Note: As you see, the sheet music suggest different fingering here and there. Both alternatives are good. The thing is that we used our own Two-Part Inventions book when we recorded Invention No. 4.
I could not find the same version online, so in the end I decided to use a sheet music that shows not just a very detailed fingering, but all the ornaments too. I hope it is ok 🙂
