Campanella, what a legendary work! And when Valentina Lisitsa plays it, it’s even more impressive. I had the immense privilege of meeting this internationally recognized pianist, during a concert organized as part of the “Play me I’m yours” festival in Paris. We were playing at the same concert, and it was greasy at this event that I was able to meet her, she is a fascinating person, she is a real passionate. I was already a fan of his work as an interpreter and even more after this unique experience. I am very sad that the production of the festival did not take care to offer him a better instrument. It must be said that the festival used second-hand pianos, often at the end of their life, so it’s more or less normal that she must have played on this poor keyboard. In my opinion, she deserved to have a Steinway & Sons or even a Bosendorfer installed.
Despite everything, she excelled as usual.

J’ai eu l’immense privilège de rencontrer cette pianiste internationalement reconnue, lors d’un concert organisé dans le cadre du festival “Play me I’m yours” à Paris. Nous jouions lors du même concert, et c’est grasse à cet événement que j’ai pu la rencontrer, elle est une personne fascinante, c’est une vrai passionnée. J’étais déjà fan de son travail d’interprète et encore plus après cette expérience unique. Je suis très triste que la production du festival n’ait pas pris le soin de lui offrir un meilleur instrument. Il faut dire que le festival utilisait des pianos d’occasion, souvent en fin de vie, c’est donc plus ou moins normal qu’elle ai du jouer sur ce piètre clavier. Selon moi, elle méritait que l’on lui installa un Steinway&Sons ou même un Bosendorfer.
Malgré tout elle a excellé comme d’habitude.
