The final work performed in Youri Egorov’s 1978 TV recital was a work he did not record commercially, Liszt’s “La Campanella”. Wonderfully varied tonal shadings, fleet fingerwork, and beautifully articulated melodic lines. What a shame that Egorov made no commercial recordings of Liszt!
